Gears of War 4 heading to Xbox One in 2016

Today at Xbox’s press conference, Gears of War 4 was premièred.

The game seems to star a different protagonist than Marcus Fenix, and we’re pretty sure the new guy is voiced by none other than Troy Baker.

Like other gameplay glimpses before it, Gears’ two protagonists – a male and female – outran a brutal electrical storm.

Glowing orange pustules were littered amongst the environment as the two protagonists chased down an agile creature who leapt from rooftop to rooftop with ease.

Shotguns, chainsaws and other standard Gears fare was shown.

Gears of War 4 will be available in 2016.
