Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition outed by retailer, Star Wars not yet in sight

Specialty site Infinity Inquirer has reported on a series of now-pulled images on a Chinese retailer’s site, seeming outing Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition and its first wave of characters.

The images featured Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Mulan, Sam Flynn and Quorra from Tron: Legacy, Olaf from Frozen and five characters from Pixar’s upcoming film Inside Out.

One such image is shown below.

From the packaging, the new 3.0 figures will not work on 2.0 or 1.0 bases, in line with Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes‘ functionality.

The images — sadly — didn’t feature any Star Wars characters, but sources close to Stevivor have indicated that heroes and villains from Disney’s newest acquisition are on their way. The same sentiment has been made to a number of other gaming websites.

The images have been pulled and Disney Interactive hasn’t made a statement on the issue. That said, Infinity Inquirer has taken down their original post “at the request of Disney Interactive”.

We’ll have more on Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition as it develops.
