Sid Meier’s Starships warping to PC, iOS

2K has confirmed Sid Meier’s next strategy game is called Sid Meier’s Starships.

“Sid Meier’s Starships challenges players to build a planetary federation by exploring the galaxy, expanding its influence and domain, researching futuristic technologies and engaging in deep, turn-based tactical space combat with an armada of uniquely customizable starships,” 2K and developer Firaxis said of the game.

Set in the same universe as Civilization: Beyond Earth, Sid Meier’s Starships is scheduled for an autumn release on Windows PC and iOS.
