Hotline Miami 2 developer: Australians should pirate the game if it’s not available for purchase

One of Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number‘s developers has told Australians that they should pirate the game if it’s not available for purchase in the country.

The Australian Classification Board yesterday refused classification for the game, effectively removing it from sale here.

“If it [Hotline Miami 2] ends up not being release in Australia, just pirate it after release,” developer Jonatan Söderström wrote via email to a fan expressing concern about the game’s availability, as reported by Polygon.

“No need to send us any money, just enjoy the game,” he continued.

Hotline Miami 2 publisher Devolver digital recently wrote a blog post expressing that unhappiness with the ACB’s decision, but didn’t go as far as to recommend that fans obtain the game illegally.
