Assassin’s Creed IV’s premiere trailer confirms its availability on next-gen consoles

“But wait,” you cry, “we only know of one next-gen console right now!” Don’t be coy — you know Microsoft’s going to follow suit after Sony’s PS4 reveal, and as such, Microsoft and Sony fanboys alike will be able to enjoy Assassin’s Creed IV on new consoles by the end of this year (or… maybe the start of next year. We’ll see.).

In addition to outing the game on a multitude of consoles, the following Assassin’s Creed IV premiere trailer confirms we’ll be playing as Edward Kenway — Connor’s Grandfather — in this latest iteration of the franchise.

Assassin’s Creed IV has a release date scheduled for 29 October on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, whatever new Xbox we’re getting, Wii U and PC.
