Some Xbox Live users cannot launch digital games, sign-in

Update 2: All’s not well.

The Xbox Live service status page is now listing the following issues:

  • Limited signing in; creating, managing, or recovering an account; search
  • Limited buying items, redeeming codes, or downloading purchases

We’ll update as we learn more.

Update: All’s now well.

Original story: Xbox Live users are having troubles launching digital games, it’s been confirmed.

While the Xbox Live service page says troubles are limited to “Browsing the Xbox Games Store” and “Downloading items that you have already purchased”, the Xbox Support Twitter account says it also applies to launching said content.

Users are already lamenting the issue is occurring on Mass Effect: Andromeda‘s launch day in North America.

We’ll keep you posted.
