Yo-Kai Watch sells more movie tickets than Star Wars: The Force Awakens in Japan

Variety reports that Japanese movie-goers are far more interested in Yo-Kai Watch than Star Wars.

Though Star Wars: The Force Awakens technically made more money due to higher ticket prices, the Japanese filled more seats attending Yo-Kai Watch the Movie 2: King Enma and the 5 Stories, Nyan!

The newest Yo-Kai Watch film sold 975,000 tickets over last weekend compared to The Force Awakens‘ 800,000.
