Xbox One May update: improved voice controls, volume control in snapped apps and more

Microsoft confirmed details of the Xbox One May update over the weekend.

This new update will revolve around new audio controls, including improved voice recognition and volume control over snapped applications.

Those who wish to assist Microsoft in improving voice commands will have to share their voice data with the company. To do so, head to Settings > Privacy & Online Safety > Customising and set “Share Voice Data” to “Allow”.

Users will also be able to control volume between snapped applications, choosing volume levels for the main or snapped windows.

Full details of the update can be found over on Xbox Wire.

The Xbox One May update will soon be released to early access users, and later in the month for all gamers.
