WWE 2K21 has been cancelled, says WWE

The WWE has confirmed that WWE 2K21 has been cancelled following rumours the title would be dropped due to quality control issues.

The news comes from WWE interim Chief Financial Officer, Frank Riddick, who stated that “there’s not going to be a launch of a game this year,” when asked about the status of WWE 2K21.

The rumours continue to suggest that a “palette cleanser” WWE game will debut in 2020, though Riddick didn’t make comment on those matters. The rumours popped up after developer Yuke’s departure from the title in WWE 2K20, resulting in a bug-riddled title handled by Visual Concepts.

2K has yet to comment on the matter. We’ll keep you informed as we learn more.
