World of Tanks War Stories gets three new missions on consoles

World of Tanks’ console versions are getting three new story missions within the War Stories mode.

Available on Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS4, the three new missions are known as the Spoils of War trilogy and are “set against the backdrop of an alternate history where World War II never ended,” Wargaming has advised.

“The year is 1948, and the world grows desperate and weary after years of endless fighting,” a press release proclaims. “In these new War Stories, players will be thrust into action on three different fronts to fight as American, Soviet, and German heroes. Contrary to previous adventures, Spoils of War sees the playable characters acting on their conscience and moral obligations, even if this goes against their orders.”

The new missions are as follows:

  • Sieben Ritter (pictured above): Set in a small town on the German-Polish border and inspired by the 1952 Japanese film Seven Samurai.
  • The Connoisseur: The Allies are tasked to recover stolen art and priceless treasures.
  • Potemkin: Set on the German frontlines, a Soviet high commander fights back.

World of Tanks is available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
