World of Tanks Mercenaries Xbox, PS4 expansion detailed

World of Tanks will soon receive an Xbox One and PS4 expansion called Mercenaries, Wargaming today revealed.

Available from 26 June, the expansion is bundled as part of the game’s Update 4.5.

World of Tanks: Mercenaries plunges the game into a radical new reality, where history has changed and rules mean nothing,” Wargaming advised. “Endless wars have left the world fractured, and in the vacuum of power left by the destabilization of global powers, soldiers and civilians are now fighting for themselves. Anyone can be their own hero in the age of Mercenaries, and World of Tanks: Mercenaries invites players across the globe to join the fight.”

The update includes a new PvE story campaign called The Heist, alongside a new Mercenaries nation and a full tech tree. New multiplayer maps will also be included as part of the expansion.

World of Tanks: Mercenaries heads to Xbox One and PS4 later this month. The title is also available on Windows PC.
