Work on Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is already underway

Just two months after the launch of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, developer Scott Cawthon is already hard at work on another sequel to the popular, flown-under-the-radar game.

If you’re unfamiliar with the franchise, Five Nights at Freddy’s has you playing as a security guard in a Chuck-E-Cheese-type facility, only to find out the restaurant’s animatronics pretty much go insane overnight. You’re tasked to stay alive… and also to dig deeper into why things are they way they are.

The photo above recently popped up on Cawthorn’s website, titled “fnaf3.jpg.” When PC Gamer tried to make contact with the developer about it, they received an auto-reply email stating, “Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is in production.

“Please do not email me asking any questions about it; NO questions about FNaF3 will be read or answered!”

We’ll keep you in the loop on Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 as more becomes available.
