Wonder Woman isn’t a live service game, says Warner Bros

Warner Bros has asserted that Wonder Woman isn’t a live service game, despite a job listing that says it is.

Speaking with IGN as a result of outlets jumping upon the live service listig, Warner Bros has told IGN that “Wonder Woman is not being designed as a live service” title.

Wonder Woman is a single-player action-adventure game set in a dynamic open world,” a statement from a Warner Bros representative reads. “This third person experience will allow players to become Diana of Themyscira and introduce an original story set in the DC Universe, while also featuring the Nemesis System.”

As we’ve previously reported, the job listing comes at the same time Warner Bros CEO David Zaslav has said he wants the company’s IP range made into video games that adopt live service models in order to increase revenue.

Zaslav’s comments come at a volitile time; Square Enix’s Avengers title flopped because of its live service nature, and Warner Bros’ DC Comics fans were incredibly vocal when discovering Rocksteady’s upcoming Suicide Squad would include those elements as well.

We’ll keep you posted as more is learned of the Wonder Woman game.
