Wolfenstein II multiplayer would “dilute” single-player: MachineGames

Wolfenstein II multiplayer would “dilute” the game’s single-player experience, MachineGames’ Tommy Tordsson Björk has proclaimed.

“The only way we can create these super immersive narrative experiences is if we can solely focus on the single-player,” he told GamesIndustry.biz.

“Having a multiplayer component in this work process would just dilute it all. That’s the danger if you try to do two things at once.”

Tjordsson Björk also said that he believes that MachineGames doesn’t make first-person shooters.

“We call them action adventures rather than shooters because we feel there’s so much more to them than just shooting,” he said.

Wolfenstein II heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 27 October.
