The WNBA might feature in an upcoming NBA 2K game

The WNBA looks set to feature inside the NBA 2K franchise, a new tweet teases.

The tease comes from two-time WNBA champion, Renee Montgomery, who posted a photo showing herself being scanned for possible in-game inclusion (above). Montgomery also posted a photo with an Xbox One X NBA 2K19 bundle, which leads some to believe the WNBA might be added as post-launch content. While we think that’s unlikely, it’s quite possible the scanning is happening in anticipation of NBA 2K20.

The WNBA was added into EA’s NBA Live franchise with NBA Live 18.

What do you make of the possible inclusion of the WNBA with the NBA 2K franchise? NBA 2K19 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.
