Watch: Mario and Luigi go gay for one another on The Ellen Show

Comedian Ellen DeGeneres was a bit late to the party, but decided to make comment on Nintendo’s Tomodachi Life situation in her own way.

On a recent episode of The Ellen Show, Mario and Luigi came out as gay lovers.

Despite the names of most of the games they feature in, the pair declared they’re definitely not brothers, but instead life partners for 30 years.

Luigi thinks we all assume the pair are siblings “because of our-a crazy accent.”

What do you think of Ellen’s little sketch? It joins Last Week Tonight in gayin’ up Nintendo’s beloved characters.

Our review of Tomodachi Life will be out within the week.
