Deep Silver has announced today — via YouTube — that Killer is Dead will be released on PC in May this year in a new Nightmare Edition.
Killer is Dead was originally released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in August 2013 in a variety of editions and with extra content. The Nightmare Edition introduces a new difficulty setting — aptly named Nightmare mode — in which enemies can only be defeated by Adrenaline Burst, Dodge Burst or Headshots. It will also include a theater mode which will allow players to rewatch the game’s cutscenes and will include content released in the “Smooth Operator Pack” which was a pre-order bonus for the console versions.
Killer is Dead: Nightmare Edition will be available at retail and digitally in Europe and will cost £19.99 in the U.K. and €19.99 elsewhere, while it will be available as a digital download only in the US for $19.99 USD. An Australian release date was not mentioned, but we’ll reach out to our local Deep Silver representatives and find out.
