Watch Dogs Legion release date set for March 2020

Watch Dogs Legion was today detailed at Ubisoft’s E3 2019 press conference; what’s more, we know it’s release date: March 2020.

The game is set in a post-Brexit world, extremists have taken over and you’re part of the DedSec resistance… building one recruit at a time.

From the gameplay footage shown, London looks absolutely amazing. We got a great glimpse of a modern-day (yet slightly futuristic) Piccadilly Circus as your player character walked around assessing local NPCs to later recruit to the cause. Um, and right afterward, your character basically got to go invisible, or at least was able to hide himself from the visual sensors of a nearby drone.

Also new to the franchise is a friendly AI system named Bagley that interacts with your character as you play. That’s important — your player characters seem fairly disposable and permadeath is turned on; that character dies, and they’re gone. That’s why recruitment is so important.

In development at Ubisoft Toronto, Watch Dogs Legion is planned for a release on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 6 March.
