Wargaming’s 20th anniversary celebrated with in-game events

Wargaming’s 20th anniversary will be celebrated inside titles like World of Tanks, World of Warships and Total War: Arena over the month of August, the publisher today detailed.

A series of in-game events are as follows:

World of Tanks

On PC, World of Tanks will offer “a fancy camouflage and emblem” to celebrate 20 years, alongside “a marathon of missions” and discounts on tanks.

On Xbox One and PS4, a new in-game event inside World of Tanks: Mercenaries will offer the “chance to win some amazing prizes, including the Tier VIII Premium vehicle of your choice as the grand prize,” Wargaming advised.

World of Warships

Starting 22 August, World of Warships players “will be transported to St Petersburg when they open their Port: after all, St. Petersburg is the hub of development,” Wargaming said.

Moreover, “community celebrity Dasha has been transformed into an in-game captain, and each player will receive her for each nation,” Wargaming added.

World of Warships also celebrates its three-year anniversary during this same time.

Total War: Arena

Total War: Arena is offering 100,000 XP to any player that logs into the game between 3-10 August.

During that same period, players will receive six times the XP for each Commander’s first victory. Commanders will also be discounted by 50%.

World of Warships Blitz

From 23 August 23, World of Warships Blitz will offer a week-long sale, discounting “items like Boosters, Ship Slots, Premium Ships, Silver, Gold and much more,” Wargaming advised.

Happy anniversary, Wargaming!
