Voyager Across the Unknown gets updated PC demo featuring Robert Duncan McNeill

Paris now opens up the game.

Star Trek Voyager Across the Unknown has an updated Windows PC via Steam demo that features the vocal talents of Robert Duncan McNeill as Lieutenant Tom Paris.

As we reported earlier in the week, both McNeill and Tim Russ and Tuvok will be reprising their Star Trek Voyager roles in next week’s game. From today, players can hear McNeill as Paris in the Steam demo.

“The update includes further fine-tuning based on the console demo, as well as the first voice-over content added to the demo mission,” gamExcite and Daedalic said in an update. “The narration is performed by Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeill). From a narrative standpoint, Tuvok is not yet part of this early mission and will be featured in later sections of the full game.”

“In addition, the demo update introduces an updated main menu featuring the original Star Trek: Voyager main theme,” Daeldalic and gamExcite said.

We’ve done a quick capture of the Steam demo’s new opening if you’d like to hear both that theme and McNeill in action. These additions are only available within the Windows PC via Steam demo, though you can also try out Across the Unknown on Switch 2 via the Nintendo eShop, Xbox Series S & X via Microsoft Store, and PS5 via PlayStation Store.

Star Trek Voyager Across the Unknown will head to PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch 2 from 19 February here in Australia.
