Vault of Glass Destiny 2 Raid coming 22 May

With a special new Challenge mode.

The Vault of Glass Destiny 2 Raid will be available from 22 May (likely 23 May in Australia), Bungie has today detailed.

Destiny players should know The Vault of Glass as the original Destiny‘s first ever Raid.

Its rebirth in Destiny 2 comes with some tweaks — as players are likely familiar with its format, Bungie has changed the World First Raid competition associated with it. To claim the honour of the first Raid team to beat the new Vault of Glass, teams will have to complete it on both Contest and Challenge mode difficulties.

First, Contest mode will reduce the gear levels of players, making the Raid more difficult to beat. Those who can beat the special mode within its first 24 hours will recieve a special reward.

Next, Challenge mode will require fireteams to complete mandatory additional challenges on top of the Raid itself; fail and your team will be wiped.

Destiny 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia. It’s also on Xbox Game Pass.
