Valorant Episode 2, Act 1 adds new character Yoru

Alongside changes to Ranked mode.

Valorant Episode 2, Act 1 kicks off later this week, adding a new agent named Yoru.

Yoru is described by Riot Games as “an Infiltrating Duelist who uses an array of tools to reposition himself, or create fakeouts. Yoru players will be lurking around the map, causing chaos, and getting frags.”

You can check out the character in a cinematic, below.

Alongside Yoru, the update will add a new Run-It-Back skin bundle from Episode 1 alongside a new Episode 2 Battlepass, which will offer up goodies between 12 January and 1 March.

Finally, the episode will also include updates to Ranked mode “and other quality of life changes based on community feedback.”

For Episode 2 our goal with our rank update was to (hopefully) show players that we are and have been listening by delivering on what we’ve seen as the most consistent asks from the community: An easier to understand and fairer rank system, more rewarding recognition for your accomplishments, and a way to show who is the best of the best (yes, leaderboards…they are finally here),” said Riot’s Ian ‘Brighteyz’ Fielding and Jon ‘EvrMoar’ Walker.

Valorant is available now on Windows PC. Expect Episode 2, Act 1 from 12 January 2021.
