Use your Destiny 2 Gunsmith parts before The Witch Queen

Changes are coming.

Bungie has advised players to spend their Destiny 2 Gunsmith parts ahead of the upcoming The Witch Queen expansion in late February.

Taking to a recent This Week at Bungie post, changes to the Gunsmith were detailed.

“Banshee-44 is getting a new reputation system that matches the other vendors in the Tower, such as Zavala and Shaxx,” the post reads. “This means we are removing some of the items that were previously associated with Gunsmith Reputation, namely Gunsmith Materials and Weapon Telemetries. Players will now earn Reputation Rank progress with Banshee-44 when dismantling Legendary and Exotic weapons and armor or by completing daily Gunsmith bounties.”

Community Manager Dylan ‘dmg04’ Gafner summarised the changes, saying “spend your Gunsmith mats”.

Players can head to the Tower to spend materials to gain reputation levels, which in turn will drop a variety of weaponry (though usually lower than your Power level). While it’s a bit of a slog to do, you might end up with a God roll or two. Good luck!

Expect Destiny 2 The Witch Queen from 22 February 2022 on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia.
