This is the upcoming Tomb Raider movie’s Lara Croft

The Hollywood Reporter today reports that Ex Machina and The Danish Girl‘s Alicia Vikander has been cast as Lara Croft in the next Tomb Raider film.

Talks with Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ Daisy Ridley were reportedly underway, but Variety reports that Vikander was always the top pick for the role.

Roar Uthaug will direct the film, which doesn’t have a set release date as yet.
