Ubisoft’s VR titles to support cross-platform play across PS VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift

Ubisoft took to the Ubiblog today to announce that its virtual reality offerings will support cross-platform play.

From today, Eagle Flight will support cross-platform play between PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift.

Additional VR titles — including Werewolves Within and Star Trek: Bridge Crew — will support cross-platform play upon their respective launches.

“Making our VR titles cross-platform has been a goal of ours from the start and we’re happy to announce that Eagle Flight, Werewolves Within, and Star Trek: Bridge Crew will be playable cross-platform on PSVR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive,” said David Votypka, Senior Creative Director at Ubisoft’s Red Storm.

“Our games feature a strong multiplayer experiences, so letting friends play together regardless of which headset they own will enhance the social nature of our games and let them be played the way we envisioned.”

Werewolves Within heads to VR on 6 December while Star Trek: Bridge Crew is available from 14 March 2017.

We’ve previewed Bridge Crew here. Expect our review of Eagle Flight shortly.
