Ubisoft’s new IP Watch Dogs is the E3 game everyone’s talking about

Bam! In a day full of safe moves by the big players, it’s a delight to see Ubisoft taking a chance and showing off some new IP.

And it’s GOOD IP.

Ubisoft Montreal is currently at work on Watch Dogs, “with a team comprised of industry veterans from blockbuster franchises like Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow 6 and Far Cry,” says the publisher.

In Watch Dogs, you’ll play as Aiden Pearce, described by Ubisoft as “a new class of antihero whose ability to hack into any connected system could be his most powerful weapon.”

“Whether it’s triggering a 30-car pileup by manipulating traffic-lights to trap an enemy during a downtown shootout or tapping into the city’s omnipresent security cameras to access anyone’s personal information, Pearce is capable of coercing and controlling almost every element of the world around him,” Ubisoft continued.

Here’s Watch Dogs introductory trailer, as seen at E3:

And, cause you’re probably salivating for it, here’s some gameplay:

We’ve got some booth time with Ubisoft tomorrow, so we’ll do our best to get our hands on this exciting new IP. What do you think of it in the meantime?
