Ubisoft: Watch Dogs is Europe’s fastest-selling new IP, not Destiny

Despite Activision’s claims that Destiny is Europe’s fastest-selling new IP — alongside North America to boot — publisher Ubisoft has countered, saying that honour belongs to Watch Dogs.

“Congratulations to Activision and Bungie for taking the title in North America and the UK, but Watch Dogs is still going strong and we’re proud of everything that the Watch Dogs team has accomplished so far,” an Ubisoft spokesperson said to MCV UK.

Ubisoft didn’t dispute that Destiny was faster-selling in the UK specifically.
