Ubisoft wants you to feel like you don’t have to buy loot boxes

Ubisoft has detailed its stance on loot boxes during a recent quarterly investor conference call.

Chief Financial Officer Alain Martinez stressed that Ubisoft defines loot boxes as “a question of quality and choice,” according to DualShockers. Martinez continued to say that customers “need to feel that they are really free not to buy” said loot boxes.

Ubisoft asserted that in-game microtransactions in the likes of Rainbow Six: Siege and Assassin’s Creed: Origins have been well received and hope to continue this strategy with future titles.

We’ll have more from the investor call throughout the day.

What do you think about Ubisoft’s microtransaction strategy?
