Ubisoft adds Child of Light & Valiant Hearts, drops Steep from Switch

Ubisoft has announced Child of Light and Valiant Hearts: The Great War on Nintendo Switch at the same time it has confirmed Steep will not be released on the platform.

First, Child of Light is expected on Switch from 11 October. It was first released in 2014; reviewer Shane Wall loved it, awarding it a 9.5/10 score.

Next, Valiant Hearts will arrive on 8 November. Also released in 2014, it fared almost as well as Child of Light; reviewer Matt Gosper issued the title a 8.5/10 score.

The news is rather bittersweet; Ubisoft also took to Twitter confirm that Steep will no longer be offered on Switch.

“We are wholly dedicated to supporting the live game, and made the decision to stop Steep development on the Nintendo Switch platform to focus on bringing new live content and challenges to Steep players instead,” a reply by Ubisoft reads. “We’ll have more exciting news to share soon.”
