Twitch might have been hacked, activates a mandatory password change

Twitch today announced that they might have been hacked.

The streaming company said they’ve detected “unauthorized access” to some users’ account information.

To combat this, they’ve expired user passwords and stream keys for everyone. All accounts have also been disconnected from Twitter and YoutTube.

The next time you login to Twitch, you’ll be prompted to change your password.

It’s also a good idea to change your password on other sites that use the same credentials. And, for heaven’s sake, don’t use the same password on more than one site!
