Tomodachi Life Living the Dream resurrects the loved franchise

About time.

More than 10 years after the release of Tomodachi Life on the 3DS, the franchise will return as Tomodachi Life Living the Dream on Switch.

Announced today at the Nintendo Direct, Tomodachi Life Living the Dream will be available on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2026.

You might remember the title as a life simulator — but with Miis — back in the day. We remember it as the franchise that stamped out same-sex coupling, so that’s fun.

We’ll see if Living the Dream is a little more progressive this time around, eh?

Expect Tomodachi Life Living the Dream will be available on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2026.
