Tomodachi Life heading to Australia in June

Nintendo Australia today confirmed that Tomodachi Life will head to Australia on 7 June.

The crazy life simulator franchise has been available in Japan for quite some time, and finally makes its way to Western audiences with this release.

“Tomodachi” is Japanese for “friend”, though the game will also let you partner up with other Miis… provided they’re of the opposite sex. Same-sex relationships are not part of Tomodachi Life, though they briefly appeared in Tomodachi Collection: New Life before being dismissed as a “bug” by Nintendo. The #Miiquality campaign has been launched to try to convince Nintendo that gamers approve of same-sex relationship options in the title.

Tomodachi Life will be available from 7 June on 2DS and 3DS.
