Tomb Raider’s 20th anniversary: New Rise DLC, $1 copies of the reboot for charity

Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix today kicked off celebrations for Lara Croft’s 20th anniversary.

“Since its introduction, Tomb Raider has held a significant place in video game history, and further cements that with this milestone,” said Ron Rosenberg, Co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics. “We look forward to celebrating with fans, and honouring the iconic Lara Croft with special events, retrospectives, giveaways and other surprises throughout this year of Tomb Raider.”

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have teamed up with GameChanger, a charity that strives to improve the lives of children suffering from life-threatening diseases. Those that donate $1 to the charity will receive a copy of the Tomb Raider reboot on PC, while those who donate $20 or more will be entered into a drawing to win exclusive swag from the publisher and developer.

Rise of the Tomb Raider‘s newest DLC, “Cold Darkness Awakened” is available now on Windows PC and Xbox One.

Happy anniversary, Lara!
