TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan, Amazing Spider-Man pulled from digital storefronts

Update: Activision has replied back to Stevivor’s request for comment, with a representative confirming that the publisher “will not be releasing a statement regarding the story.”

It’s speculated that licensing agreements have caused the titles to be pulled.

Activision has previously removed titles like X-Men: Destiny, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine — all Marvel-owned properties, just like Spider-Man — from digital storefronts.

The publisher still maintains the rights for myriad properties, including Transformers and The Legend of Korra.

We’ve reached out to Marvel Games to see if they can explain (some of) the titles’ absences.

Original story: Digital versions of Activision titles The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan have all been delisted from virtual storefronts on Xbox, PlayStation and Steam

At less than a year old, Mutants in Manhattan is perhaps the most mysterious. We’re asking Activision for comment.

Physical versions of the above titles are still available.

Thanks, Aaron and Eurogamer.
