Titanfall 2: New game mode, maps and more coming in future update

Titanfall 2 developer Respawn has started to detail the game’s next update, even though a release date — or even its name — is still unknown.

We do know the update will bring a new game mode called Live Fire — a 6v6 Pilots-only affair with an emphasis on CQC, or close-quarters combat. There are no respawns in the mode, making it a kill-or-be-killed exercise.

Two new maps — Stacks and Meadow — will also be included, alongside a new execution animation and intros.

The update will also place an emphasis on playlists, Respawn confirmed.

“Our goal is to allow players to create their own ‘mixtapes’ and choose which modes they want to be matched in,” the update reads.

You can head to Respawn’s blog for more.

Titanfall 2 is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
