The Witcher 3 isn’t the last Witcher game in the franchise after all

So, yesterday CD Projekt RED studio head Adam Bedowski said, “People may ask if this is really going to be the last Witcher game. Yes, it is.”

Yeah, just go ahead and ignore that.

CD Projekt RED went into damage control yesterday, telling Eurogamer that what Badowski only meant to say that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be the last game in the current Witcher trilogy. To drive the point home even further, CEO Adam Kicinski has firmly stated that the “franchise will be continued.”

Speaking with Joystiq, a CD Projekt RED spokesperson has said, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will wrap up the saga of Geralt of Rivia, but we do leave open the possibility of returning to the Witcher world.”

Rest easy, Witcher fans — you’ll have more games to play after The Witcher 3 is released in 2014.
