The Witcher 3 bugs: Frozen loading screens and a skipping Ciri

Users have taken to Reddit and the like to complain of a game-breaking Witcher 3: Wild Hunt glitch on PS4 where a loading screen, well, never fully loads.

Those affected find that the loading screen immediately after the game’s initial intro cutscene never fully loads. Worse yet, without going past that loading screen, the game’s initial cutscene won’t let you skip it. Talk about an infuriating loop.

Some are able to fix the issue by unplugging their PS4 from power for a minute and then trying again.

I’ve personally found a weird glitch in the first gameplay instance involving Geralt’s ward, Ciri, on Xbox One. For some reason, my Ciri has decided she won’t walk anywhere, instead leaping with any movement of the left-stick.

None of my Ciri saves allow her to walk normally, so I had to backtrack to a Geralt save and then progress back up to the point where the glitch occurred. My second attempt had Ciri walking normally.

Have you experienced any weird Witcher 3 bugs?
