The Sims Mobile will be closed down in January 2026

No more mobile Sims for you!

The Sims Mobile will be taken offline in January 2026, developers today advised as part of a notice of its final update.

The mobile title will be closed down from 1.00 am AEDT on 21 January 2026 here in Australia. Moreover, The Sims Mobile will receive its final update on 21 October here in Australia, will be delisted from app stores on 22 October, and will have all of its content unlocked for users between 7-21 January 2026, when it will then be inaccessible.

“First, we want to say thank you,” devs said in a statement. “The Sims Mobile and The Sims community as a whole are full of creativity, kindness, and imagination. You’ve amazed us with your stories, builds, and Sims. We’re proud to have shared this journey with you.”

The devs also promised “a few surprises” before The Sims Mobile is sunsetted.

“On behalf of the entire Sims Mobile team, thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us,” they continued. “We hope you enjoy the final update and that these final months allow everyone to finish projects, make memories, and celebrate their Sims.”

The Sims Mobile is currently available on iOS and Android devices.
