The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is free, real

Do you have what it takes to solve the case?

The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is likely an April Fools joke, but nevertheless is real and free to play.

The point and click visual novel is about exactly what you’d expect: Sonic the Hedgehog has been murdered, and it’s up to you to solve the case.

“It’s Amy Rose’s birthday, and she’s hosting a murder mystery party on the Mirage Express,” Sega said of the content. “When Sonic the Hedgehog becomes the game’s victim, everyone is off to get to the bottom of things. However, something feels a bit off – is this really an innocent game or is something more sinister afoot?”

Sega was quick to point out that The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog isn’t a Team Sonic title (so not canon), but says that it “strongly believe[s] in the power of headcanon!”

You can go and download The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog here on Windows PC via Steam.
