The Game Awards 2024 nominees detailed in special 19 November livestream

Set those alarms?

The Game Awards 2024 nominees will be named in a special ceremony taking place from 4.00 am AEDT on 19 November here in Australia, its organisers have today detailed.

“Nominations for the 29 categories including Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Independent Game, Best Performance and Best Adaptation will be announced during the special,” reads a press release. If interested in setting an early alarm, you can watch the special on The Game Awards’ YouTube and Twitch channels.

We’ll of course have the list of nominees available for you after the big announcement. General public voting kicks off on November and closes on 12 December here in Austraila.

The actual Game Awards presentation will take place on 13 December here in Australia, livestreamed from the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California, USA.

“The Game Awards 2024 attendees can look forward to a night filled with world premiere announcements and trailers, live performances by The Game Awards Orchestra led by award-winning conductor, Lorne Balfe, and other surprises as the top games, creatives and studios of 2024 are honored at the live ceremony,” organisers stated.

Stevivor has been a member of The Game Awards’ voting jury since 2017, and of course has a say in titles that are nominated for — and potentially, eventually win — top honours. We’re proud of our position as an ongoing member of the jury.
