The Callisto Protocol release date set for December 2022

Yes, please.

The Callisto Protocol now has a release date: 2 December 2022.

In addition to getting the Dead Space successor’s release date, we also got a brand-new glimpse at what to expect from the horrific game.

“As a game director, there’s nothing more satisfying than taking players on a terrifying ride that stays with them long after they’ve put the controller down,” said Glen Schofield, CEO of Striking Distance Studios. “Survival horror games have been my passion for decades, and I’m excited to take advantage of the latest consoles to take the genre to terrifying new places when we ship The Callisto Protocol later this year.”

The title stars Josh Duhamel (Transformers) as Jacob lee, “a cargo ship pilot trapped deep within Black Iron Prison”; Karen Fukuhara (The Boys) will portray “a mysterious fellow inmate”.

The trailer is below alongside a selection of screenshots.

Update: An extended gameplay trailer is now available thanks to Summer Game Fest. It’s also below.

Expect The Callisto Protocol on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 from 2 December 2022.
