The Alters delayed later into 2025

Another delay...

The Alters has been delayed further into 2025, 11 bit Studios has today announced.

The title, originally scheduled for a 2024 release, was delayed into Q1 2025 back in October of last year. Today, we’ve been told we should expect the title “beyond Q1 2025”.

“Following a comprehensive assessment of Project Dolly, we regret to inform you that your scheduled departure has been delayed beyond Q1 2025, with a revised launch window set for later in the year,” 11 bit Studios wrote in an in-world statement.

“While we recognize that this may not be the update you were hoping for, this additional time is being dedicated to further refining mission parameters and ensuring that all essential systems meet Ally Corp’s uncompromising standards,” 11 bit continued. “Furthermore, it is also allowing us to integrate new enhancements into Project Dolly, ensuring that your eventual deployment is more exciting and rewarding than originally projected.”

In case you missed it, The Alters was announced back in March 2024 and revolves around a single character, Jan, who has the ability to clone himself. Jan will need to work together with himself — himselves? — after crash landing on a hostile alien planet.

Expect The Alters in 2025 on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5. It’ll also be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
