Telltale Batman Shadows Edition adds noir filter to the game

The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition will take Telltale’s Batman game and add a noir filter to its existing episodes, it was recently confirmed.

The re-release will bundle the Batman: The Telltale Series base game alongside new DLC that adds “a noir-style visual makeover and graphical upgrade,” a press release from Athlon and Telltale states. The bundle is priced at $29.99 USD, though the Noir DLC can be purchased as a standalone transaction for $4.99 USD.

The press release, dated 5 December, also suggests the Shadows Edition bundle is already available on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch. Searches of Steam, the Epic Game Store, the Nintendo eShop, the Microsoft Store and the PlayStation Store suggest otherwise. As such, it’s believed the press release was published early ahead of a potential reveal at The Game Awards later today.

“We’re excited to be able to build and continue the legacy of an iconic Telltale Games franchise by launching The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition today,” Jamie Ottilie, CEO of Telltale Games. “This is just the beginning in a much more expansive plan to build on our catalog of Telltale Games titles, which we hope to discuss in further detail in the coming months.”

We’ll have more on The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition as it’s made available. The release is planned for Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.
