Tekken X Street Fighter is officially on hold

Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed that Tekken X Street Fighter is officially on hold.

Harada says it makes little sense launching the crossover fighting title in the same time period that both Street Fighter V and Tekken 7: Fated Retribution both head to consoles.

“A good window in which to release Tekken X Street Fighter is something that’s become difficult recently,” Harada confirmed with Gamespot, adding that “it’s on hold for the moment.”

Street Fighter V is currently available on Windows PC and PS4, and Tekken 7 is expected within 2016.
