Tarantino won’t direct Star Trek movie, but wants it made

Quentin Tarantino wants his Star Trek movie idea to be made, but likely won’t be the one directing it.

Speaking to Deadline, Tarantino said his idea was a good one, but that he was less enthused about directing it as he once was.

“I think they might make that movie, but I just don’t think I’m going to direct it,” Tarantino said. “It’s a good idea. They should definitely do it and I’ll be happy to come in and give them some notes on the first rough cut.”

Last month, Tarantino said he was “steering away” from the idea.

We’ll have more on Star Trek films as news is available — in addition to this Tarantino idea, Star Trek 4 is also in the works.
