Tarantino “steering away” from R-rated Star Trek movie

Quentin Tarantino has said he’s “steering away” from a planned R-rated Star Trek movie.

“I think I’m steering away from Star Trek, but I haven’t had an official conversation with those guys yet,” Tarantino told Consequence of Sound recently.

The news comes after the release of his ninth film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Tarantino has said in the past that he planned to make only ten films in his career.

“In a strange way, it seems like this movie, Hollywood, would be my last . . . But in a weird way, it actually kind of freed me up. I mean, I have no idea what the story of the next one’s going to be. I don’t even have a clue,” Tarantino continued.

Are you upset about the loss of an R-rated Star Trek movie helmed by Pulp Fiction‘s Tarantino? Why or why not?
