Super Mario Wonder Nintendo Direct shows off new gameplay

A Super Mario Bros Wonder-themed Nintendo Direct has been confirmed by Nintendo, and will take place on 1 September in Australia.

Corresponding to a 31 August at 10 am EST start time, that means Australians can expect the livestream from 12.01 am AEST on 1 September.

The event will last around 15 minutes and offers “an in-depth look at Mario’s latest 2D side-scrolling adventure,” Nintendo said on social media.

Update: The event has come and gone; you can watch the full Nintendo Direct — and all the juicy new gameplay — below.

Expect Super Mario Bros Wonder on Nintendo Switch from 20 October.
