Super Mario Party goes online two years after release

Better late than never?

Super Mario Party update allows for online multiplayer and has been issued more than two years after the game’s initial release.

The free update is available now, though a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required to play online.

Mario Party, Partner Party and Minigames are all playable online, with support for up to four players across up to four different Nintendo Switch consoles. Each player must have access to at least one Joy-Con to be able to take part.

We reviewed Super Mario Party way back in October 2018, saying it had a great range of minigames but paled in comparison to the likes of 1-2 Switch.

Super Mario Party is available now on Nintendo Switch.
