Summer Game Fest 2022 returns in E3’s absence

Coming in June "with a slate of events".

Summer Game Fest 2022 organisers were quick to announce a “slate of events” in June 2022 following news that E3 2022 had been cancelled in all its forms.

Host Geoff Keighley took to Twitter (after using a winking emoji to acknowledge E3’s cancellation), saying, “[Summer Game Fest] will return this June with a slate of events. We’ll be producing another Kickoff Live show with announcements, news and first looks.”

More information about the digital event will be shared in the coming months.

Summer Game Fest first kicked off in 2020, filling a void left by the cancellation of E3 2020 that same year. The two events ran in tandem last year.

We’ll let you know as more about Summer Game Fest 2022 is detailed.
