Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League showcased at DC FanDome

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League was showcased during a panel at DC FanDome, with panel host Will Arnett leading into a spectacular CGI trailer.

The opening of the trailer revealed a takeover of Metropolis by none other than Brainiac, with the Suicide Squad dropping into the city… to eat pizza. The Suicide Squad — consisting of Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot and King Shark — take out some low-level baddies before the unveiling of an infected Superman, aka, the Squad’s first priority assassination target.

Rocksteady has seemingly nailed the personalities of the Squad, with most (but not Captain Boomerang) claiming leadership of the team while taking part in a “live call” with Arnett.

“This mission is literally called ‘Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League’,” Arnett said, asserting that the Squad will be tasked to kill the Justice League, with Leaguers including Superman, Batman and The Flash confirmed.

While Batman Gotham Knights will take place in a universe separate from the Batman Arkham franchise, Rocksteady’s Sefton Hill confirmed that Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League will take place within the Batman Arkham world.

Hill said Metropolis will act as a character in the game, which seeks to combine gunplay with the combat we’ve already experienced in the Batman Arkham franchise. The game was also confirmed as able to be played in solo and up to four-player multiplayer.

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League will be released in 2022 on Windows PC, Xbox Series X and PS5.
